U14 Programme

Our U14 Programme runs from the beginning of Term 2/3 ( Training details to be released at a later date) with trials taking place throughout the Term. Term 4 will see players placed into teams and they will train weekly in preparations for Nationals.

We offer a range of teams for all different abilities and experience.

Born: Players born on or after January 1st 2010 are eligible to play. ​​​​​​​

U14 Trial Information 202​​​​​​4

Players will be required to attend all trial sessions and trainings thereafter to be considered and be a part of the training and travelling squad.

Weekly Trainings: Tuesday Evenings. @ 7:30 - 8:30pm. 

  • Sunday 9th  June between 9 – 10:30am 
  • Sunday 16th  June between 9 – 10:30am 

*specific times to be released closer to the time.

  • We will endeavour to accommodate all players into an U14 team however dependant on numbers some players may not be named in an U14 team after the completion of the Trials.
  • Teams will be training multiple times a week throughout the term, with expectations on extra training in their own time. 
  • We expect that selected young athletes commit to their team and attend all trainings. If multiple trainings are missed it will be up to coaching staff to whether selected individual remains in that squad. 
  • Please know we will do our upmost to assist our U14 players enjoy their season with HBWP. 

Information About U14’s with HBWP

  • Playing water polo at this age and learning to play sport with other young athletes the same age
  • Learning how to play in an advanced and competitive team environment with no pressure 
  • Coaches who are passionate about teaching the young athletes to enjoy the game
  • Being placed in teams that will enhance the young athletes game throughout the season
  • Have the opportunity to meet lots of young athletes your own age and play sport with them
  • Ability and opportunities to travel, learn, develop and represent the region. 
  • Commit to trainings with the team and coach throughout the season

Registration fees for 2024 season

Club Fees Club Registration fee details to be released soon.

  • You will also need to register through NZWP and there will be an additional fee for this that needs to be paid prior to you being able to compete.
  • There will also be an additional payment for NZ National Age Group championships should you attend this event.

Payment details: Direct credit upon receipt of invoice.

Uniform Sales

Once selected into the squad, information will be released about a “Registration Night” where squad members are to place their order for uniform. We bulk order uniform from overseas so players and parents will be required to attend this evening to try on and order kit for the season. 

Players must have the club togs and uniform to play in any tournaments.
